Another little bagatelle presenting in six minutes the full range of complexity found in each of the twelve basic iterations of the row - a compression of precisely the same structure upon which all of my longer form compositions depend. Every thirty seconds, the tonal center shifts (and the meter changes): C-Bb-Gb-Ab-F-D-B-Db-A-G-Eb-E. Dedicated to the memory of my mother, who would have been 110 today - and doubtless still would not have understood why I insist on writing such bizarre and difficult music.
