After almost exactly two perfectly unsettled years: nursing the sick, comforting the dying, burying the dead, liquidating a century's worth of property; turning my back on the city of my birth and resettling into a miniature agricultural town in the shadow of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the Shenandoah Valley; hiking well over a hundred miles along solitary upland wilderness tracks in the National Park there ... [Bah, P.S. There was a glitch in the .pdf-formation process which truncated a tempo marking in the full score. As the individual parts all still properly indicate, at Measure 370 the tempo changes to Allegro, with a suggested dotted quarter metronome speed of 150. As the .pdfs are already on file with the copyright office at the Library of Congress, I will leave things as they are.]
