A tribute to the inimitable Italian cello virtuoso, Luigi Boccherini, who spent most of his life in comfortable service to the Spanish Court and composed over 140 delightful double cello string quintets.

While he would certainly immediately recognize the form, Maestro Boccherini would undoubtedly consider the tonal progressions the work essays [(1) C-Db-E (2) G-Ab-B (3) Bb-D- Eb (4) F-Gb-A] ludicrous, if not outright insane.

A volte la vita č cosė.
