No War-Time Food Worries at State Farm for Women

[New London Evening Day, 29 Apr 1944.]

Because in food requirements it is practically self-sustaining, wartime rationing and shortages little affect the State Farm for Women at Niantic.

Dairy and meat products are provided by its large herds of dairy cattle, pens of other farm animals, and through its piggery and poultry yards. A variety of vegetables come from its immense garden every summer. Nearly all the work is done by inmates of the institution under the supervision of staff officers.
